It has come to our attention that there are those within the
Treasure Island Community who are trying to dictate what is
published on this website by insinuating a possible loss of business
to anyone who deals with T I Beach Bums. These individuals
are not affiliated with the City of Treasure Island but are private
individuals who may be associated with a local group. I have
had people point guns at me, come at me with knives and a machete,
a local busy body will not influence what is written on this website.

T I Beach Bums of Treasure Island, Florida is published about twice a month to inform, irritate and entertain the residents and anyone else who is involved in the wonderful world that is Treasure Island, Florida and neighboring beaches. 
Treasure Island is a narrow sandbar that stretches for several miles along the west coast of Florida and is truly a piece of paradise on earth.
The residents of Treasure Island are split into 3 factions. Those who want controlled development, those who want no development and those who just don't care as long as the bars are open.
We at T I Beach Bums fall into the first category encouraging controlled development in our business district while protecting our neighborhoods. It should be noted at this point that there have been times when some of the staff of T I Beach Bums have fallen into the latter category, especially on weekends.
We have chronicled life on the Island for the past seven years and seen a vibrant beach community run into the ground by a short sighted and incompetent City Commission. It is the goal of this website to give you a good laugh, something to think about while pointing out just how poor a job out elected officials and their cronies are doing.
